I am for my boys! I’m for them succeeding in life, whether it be in their grades, their friendships, or their sports. In fact, I’m a fantastic cheerleader, if I do say so myself!
I can’t help it! I’m a yeller…a screamer…a YEAHHH-er! Sometimes I tell Tom I’m going to try being quiet at a game and he just nods. What can I say!? It’s a gift! Sometimes, someone cheering for the opposing team sits by me. They are so annoying! (Haha) But seriously, I usually end up whispering to Tom, “I need to go find another seat!” I am for my boys, and will forever be! Until some very special young lady comes around, I AM their greatest fan! YEAH!!
I am so thankful we have a Savior who is for us. He is always for us. He is not against us. (Romans 8:31) He cheers for us. He intercedes for us, pleading our cause. (Romans 8:34) As He prayed…yes, prayed…for Peter, I believe He prays for us! (Luke 22:32 BTW, that kinda blows my mind!) He is for us! He is not against us!
It doesn’t matter if we are rich or poor. He is for us. It doesn’t matter the color of our skin, our politics, or the level of our education. He is for us.
He is for us even when it seems like Satan is beating us. When we are sick, He is for us! When we are sad, He is cheering for us! The fact is, Satan has already lost the game. But he’s not going to just pass the ball around and let the time run out. He’s not going to just stand there dribbling until the buzzer sounds. No! He’s coming at us hard. He’s using all his fouls. He’s pressing us right up to that trumpet-buzzer and the time on Earth’s clock is 0.00.
Whew! I am so thankful that Jesus is not against us! He is FOR you! He is FOR me! Say that to yourself and let it sink in! He is for us! It is amazing grace and unfailing love for sure!
